Each numeral is shown dashed on a guide line, with its word written beneath so the symbol and its name are met together. The numbers to ten are the whole of early counting, so this sheet is a foundation rather than a detail. It is the first number sheet.

Tracing the numerals one to twenty carries counting a full step further, from the early numbers into the teens where the written forms get tricky. Eleven and twelve do not follow the pattern, and thirteen through nineteen are worth extra care. Each numeral is shown dashed with its word beneath. It is the second number sheet, reached once one to ten feel easy.
