5 Times Table Worksheet
The fives are an anchor table because their pattern is the most visible in arithmetic: every answer ends in 5 or 0. The fives are also counting by fives, met early in coins and fingers. Because the pattern is so clear, the fives build confidence the harder tables will need. It is taught with the twos and tens at the start of the sequence.
