The Dolch sight word list
The classic 220 service words and 95 nouns, grouped into the five grade sets. 220 service words and 95 nouns in full.
The Dolch list was compiled by Edward William Dolch in 1936 from the words that appear most often in early reading. The words themselves are common words, and the compilation has long been treated as public domain. This site prints it in full as a reference. The Fry list is a larger, later and repeatedly revised set; this site mentions it but does not print it, because its compilation status is less clear.

The complete Dolch list of 220 service words, grouped into the pre-primer, primer, first, second and third grade sets.
The Dolch list is the classic set of 220 service words, compiled in 1936 from the words that appear most often in early reading. This sheet prints the full 220 grouped by its five grade sets, so the whole sequence is on one page to keep and read from. The list is a reference; the words themselves are common, and the compilation has long been treated as public domain. The 95 nouns are kept on the reference page.
